Puppy & Dog Training in Dorset
So you’ve got a new dog?
That’s wonderful news!
Whether it is a puppy or an older dog; from a breeder or a rescue centre, you can have more enjoyment and build a stronger bond with your dog when you give it proper training. Purbeck Agility Group offers puppy, obedience, agility and heelwork to music (dog dancing) dog training classes in Dorset.
A well-trained dog is always more welcome than a dog that is disruptive and disobedient. You can be proud of how your dog behaves when it is trained properly and, in our puppy and obedience dog training classes, you learn how to use positive methods to train your dog.
Training and socialising your dog is even more important because of the changes in the Dangerous Dog Act that came into force in May 2014 (read more about that in our post Dangerous Dogs Act Impact).
We believe that training your dog should be enjoyable both for you and your dog. Our motto, here at Purbeck Agility Group, is fun for you ….. and your dog!
And, if you are wondering…
Are Dog Training Classes Right For You?
We would like to reassure you. We understand that if you’ve not attended dog training classes before you may feel unsure about what’s involved. That’s why we invite you to come along and sit in on a class so you can see what is involved before you start. And, yes, you can bring your dog to see how s/he gets on with the other dogs.
Bring your dog to our obedience dog training classes; take your puppy through the Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Scheme’s Puppy Foundation Training and then continue your Obedience Training so your dog gains the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels under the Kennel Club’s dog training scheme.
When your dog is 12 months or over, you can join our Agility Classes held in our secure field at Corfe Castle.
And if you would like to do more fun stuff with your dog then come along to our Hoopers classes, dogs aged 6 months or older are welcome.

Club Loyalty Card Scheme
We do not ask you to book a series of classes – as some organisations do. You are welcome to come along as and when you can so that you and your dog can take the training at whatever pace suits you and your lifestyle.
However, if you do attend regularly – of course we do recommend that – then you will benefit from our Loyalty Card Scheme, which is described on our classes pages.
